We contribute to creating a digital twin of the heart, employing
C++-OpenMPI software for cardiac simulations, exploring arrhythmias through
numerical modeling, collaborating on electrogram research, and utilizing
machine learning for personalized heart models.
Louise and Lore had the opportunity to witness and help with an
electro-anatomical voltage mapping experiment on a pig as well as
removing the and dissecting the heart.
Pictures from our visit to the Pijnappels lab in Leiden, where cardiac
cells are grown in vitro to study and control excitation patterns
Presentations on phase defect lines and electrogram modeling at the EHRA
cardiology conference in Copenhagen.
In a series of graduation works, we are integrating powerful computer
game engines to create interactive cardiac simulations.
A 45-minute lecture (in Dutch) for students 15-18 year old, explaining the
link between mathematics, cardiology and Einstein.
