We have published our algorithms to detect phase defects, i.e., the regions at the centre of rotors in excitable media such as the cardiac muscle tissue. We show that these methods robustly find the core of spirals using not only in-silico simulations at KU Leuven, but also in-vitro experiments with human immortalised atrial myocytes at Leiden University Medical Center.
